My Blinkered Vision: My Mind In 4 Minutes!

I remember during an art class, I had to draw an image that summed up my life - and it was a cartoon of myself being chased by monsters through the bounty-hunter infested woods of Gauda Prime. Did I mention I'm a manic depressive?

Well, thanks to the wonders of divx video editor, you can now see the insanity of my formative thought processes backed to classical music - drunken displays of egomania, Tom Baker, Blackadder, fan films, John Clarke, crappy animated cartoons, missing regeneration scenes, redheads, The Young Ones, puppets, Fry and Laurie, HHGTTG, Blake's 7, Dario Fo, Daria Morgendorfer, KLF, Bulamakanka, Drop the Dead Donkey, political satire, Being Human, Shameless Molly Meldrum, Shaun McCallef, Sontarans, Robin Hood, Black Books, Red Dwarf, random shit exploding and... of course... Kamelion.

Even spara gets an unsubtle reference! But if you can't spot it, I don't blame you as I only noticed it retrospectively.

I need more sleep.

Man, I love this video. I want to share it on my Facebook. To me this... I dunno. Sums up the UNIVERSE ITSELF. Or at least mine...

I dread to think of the horrors that a video of my mind would contain...

For some reason all I can think of is a cross between Omega's imaginary wrestling match and the Liberator's auto-defense systems...

At least 85%.

What the FUCK was Davo doing in that episode of All Creatures Great and Small? And is that Ozzy Osbourne at the end?

You're so good at accumulating weird video footage..

I was sure you were being monumentally sarcastic...

He and the other dude were on a double date. He got Bernard-Black pissed and did a sing along in the pub to the hall of the mountain king. Just type "Peter Davison" and "mad conductor" into youtube and you should find it...

And is that Ozzy Osbourne at the end?
LOL. No, that's Frank "Gandalf on Acid" Gallagher from Shameless in, oddly enough, last week's episode. On his stag night he got so monumentally pissed he woke up thinking he was a newly regenerated Doctor then teamed up with his ex-wife (who he thought was Leela) ran away from his fiance (who he thought was a Cyberman) and then was consumed by Kronos the Chronovore (who turned out to be a methadone injection).

...

You know, even IN context, that doesn't really do it justice...

Well, I have been doing so for the last five years.

I'm never sarcastic. Except when I am.

I'll be doing that as soon as my confounded ponies have downloaded..

Yeah, not really.

This struck me as astonishingly weird, but then I remembered that Paul Abbott is a big Doctor Who fan and it made perfect sense.

Speaking of Paul Abbott, I wonder if it rankles him at all that fans of Cracker pretty much know him as 'the guy who isn't as good as Jimmy McGovern'... I guess he's lived it down by now..

Um. OK. Good luck.

Yeah, not really.

It also shares half its production team with DW. You wouldn't guess but in recent episodes Frank started referring to his wheelchair-bound mother in law as "Davros" and later had Doctor'n the Tardis playing on the pub jukebox...

I dare say Paul laughed all the way to the bank. Or something.

Hope you enjoyed the Verkoff epilogue.

Yeah I liked it a lot. Again, reading it late at night before a busy day. I liked the way that Andrew lied so quick and Nigel's reaction. It wasn't what I had expected but was very good characterisation.

I also like the gripping cliffhanger. WILL Dave have anything interesting to say? Tune in next week to find out!!!

Incidentally I quite like the "Very well, I'll take you to-" kind of cliffhanger it was based off.

Phew. I always worry writing those two being serious, that'll it'll turn to sub-Joss-Whedon angstwank...

LOL. I originally had him saying he met a hybrid car possessed by Satan, like Stephen King's Caroline... but frankly the idea doesn't interest me enough to write.

Looking back, it's a much better ending than if he'd actually said where it was.

It's basically the same ending as Survival, which is appropriate...

Eh, they weren't too serious and it wasn't for too long, either.

I figured it was meant to be a joke because Blackpool was a let down for Peri...

Mmm. Hadn't considered that.

Strange they never kept that most infamous of deleted scenes, though I think it would be a rather lame end to the story. "Death, disaster, comedic double acts, continuity porn! Tune in next time for an overpriced funfair on a rainy day!"
