Apart from trying to emotionally come to terms with my birthday?
Nothing.

Just wondering if you're free to come out for a few drinks to celebrate your B-day :D

Wanna check if Jared can hang too?

Youth of Australia said...

Sure. Whereabouts will the drinking take place?

Hmm, I'd been kind of cuirous as to how this line of conversation was going to end...

Well, it took place at the Town Hall Tavern at Newtown at 6pm on Friday Night.

I was dumped in Newtown around 4 by Lewis "Hah Fucking Hah Your DVD Player Just Exploded" Lastname and spent the next two hours indulging into shopomania at the various ancient bookshops on the way.

At 6 I went up stairs into the pub where Chris, Aimee and later Grant arrived and I bored them all rigid with my tales of naked people humiliating Santa Claus (and Sushi bar workers), my unintentional and abortive attempt at suicide, what the fucking hell is going on with them suing Men at Work, my gay rights history, some hilarious double entendres, the weak scripting of The End of Time, why Aimee had glitter painted onto her cleavage, how I managed to lose weight and hair cut, everyone except me enjoyed food and beer, we went for ice cream and then caught a train a home.

I went home with
- the complete set of Farscape on DVD
- a Jon Clarke interview book
- the Flacco Files (ie, the cartoons used on the Sideshow)
- the B'Stard File magazine
- Argh! It's the Mr. Hell Show
- and a novelization of Zardoz which was almost as hilarious as its advert for a Philip K Dick book entitled "Intergalactic Pot Dealer"

I didn't think you'd be able to make it into Sydney on such short a notice, but I intend to make up for it with a new page of B7 comic naughtiness... if the fucking thing will load...
