My Blinkered Vision: Doctor Who 2011

Combining my two greatest passions - Doctor Who and early childhood psychological trauma - I have combined to make this, a glimpse of Season Six with all the crap stuff ripped out of it and accompanied by a song about either burnt toast or heroin...

(NOTE: The Doctor's Wife isn't in there cause I ran out of space. Night Terrors isn't in there because it's crap.)

It's a nice clip. If it IS meant to be your best bits then I am grudgingly surprised by the amount of River Song..

Ah, well, it's nice the character brings entertainment to people. Who aren't me.

Well, I should stress

a) as the song is about a damnable addiction impossible to escape from that takes the form of an exotic lady, she does fit

b) the "best bits" is merely in terms of visual shots rather than any plot or stuff - note how the fact the real genuine proper Doctor attacked BOTH Amy and Rory with physical violence and it never got mentioned again...

I must say, River Song still doesn't really work for me - though I do like Alex Kingston. She is very good, much better than she was in SIL.

Notably, I thought she was best used in Lets Kill Hitler where she was, in fact, the villain. That says a lot, methinks.

I might upload my cheery Blake's 7 montage yet - trying to see the fun side in the last episode...
